Spring Gardening Events of Special Note

Spring brings a flurry of gardening events.  Two of our favorites are listed below.

Gladstone Arbor Day & Plant Sale

Gladstone Nature Park, 18111 Webster Road, Saturday, April 25, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Presented by Friends of Gladstone Nature Park, this event features native plants, vegetable starts, fruit and berry plants, tool sharpening, and electronics recycling.

Spring Garden Fair, Canby

Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center, Canby, Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, 9 :00 a.m.to 5 :00 p.m.

Presented by the Clackamas County Master Gardener Association for more than 40 years, this is the premier gardening event of the year.  More than 125 vendors from across the Pacific Northwest gather to offer their seeds, starts, tools, garden art, and more.  Free consultation with master gardeners and soil testing are also available. One-day passes are $7.00 and two-day passes are $12.00.  Get there early! Bring a wagon if you expect to buy a lot of plants and tools—or support a local student who will schlep your goods for you.  Buy tickets in advance and learn more at https://springgardenfair.org/fair/
