Pests and their predators and how to attract the latter to your garden

As the chart recommends it is good to plant diverse, annual flowering plants attractive to insect predators among your vegetables and let some of your cilantro go to seed, but it isn't really as straightforward as it looks. Planting these will not eliminate bugs eating your vegetables but it will help control the predators. While this is a good chart, it's really too simplified and leaves out native plants like California poppy, tidy tips, farewell to spring, etc. There are predators of predators and multiple predators of the same prey. It is good to take a small part of your garden space and grow annual and perennial native plants as recommended from OSU. https://gardenecology.oregonstate.edu/sites/agscid7/files/gardenecology/native_plants-ua.pdf
